NMAH Story: Story

I first heard of the attack on the radio as I was driving my daughter to day care. I had planned to attend a meeting earlier, but had to wait until the daycare opened. At first, I wasn't sure exactly what had happened. After dropping my daughter off, I went on to work where others were gathered around a television in the conference room. I remember we all watched in stunned silence for a long time. By this time both buildings had been hit, but we watched as they collapsed.

NMAH Story: Life Changed

I appreciate life more than before, and spend more time with my family.

NMAH Story: Remembered

I think the most important thing for us to remember is the way we responded as a nation by binding together as a nationwide community to respond and help rebuild the sites and the lives of those affected. Certainly, we should remember the horror and disgust that we all felt as we watched so that we will remain vigilant in the future. Our greatest moments, however, were witnessed in the aftermath as we pulled together to defeat terror with love and compassion for our fellow man.

NMAH Story: Flag

Yes, I did, I think I, like many others have experienced a renewed sense of pride and patriotism as symbolized in our flag.
