When I first heard news of the September 11th attacks i was in school. The principle came on the announcements to tell everyone about the shocking events. I will never forget the tone of his voice as he gave us the news that somthing terrible had happened just a few miles away at the Pentagon and in New York City. I walked arounf for the rest of the day in a state of disbeleif.

Yes. Ever since September 11th I have wiewed life from a different perspective. It also makes me so pround that I live in such a great country after watching everyone pull together and help one another.

We should always remember how the deaths of our close friends and family sparked a change in the way Americans value their country and sparked a rebirth of partiotism not seen since the birth of our country 200 years ago.

For me the American flag changed from just being a symbol to somthing that i can take pride in and value.
