NMAH Story: Story
I was late to work that morning. Driving down Rt 24 towards Boston with my best friend. We heard on the radio that a plane had crashed, and thought nothing of it...a little while later we arrived at work and began our daily routine. All of a sudden it was as if the world stopped, and there where whispers of another plane crash. From that moment on, what is normally a busy environment turned disturbingly somber. We all listened. Everyone. Noones phone rang, noone answered e-mails, noone did anything but listen...and wait. After what seemed like eternity it was lunch time. Noone left, noone ate. We all gathered around the closest TV or media link we could find to hear...anything. Anything, something, whatever anyone could tell us in regard to the recent tragedy we'd heard. It was as if the world stopped breathing for a moment.
NMAH Story: Life Changed
My life has changed in more ways then I could have ever imagined. I cannot drive down a highway without seeing an American Flag...something I have not been accustomed to as an american born citizen. My boyfriend, and best friend and I have become engaged...partly because we were 'jolted' into the realization that nothing lasts forever, and partly because we do not want to spend another moment of our lives not telling each other or showing each other how deeply we care for each other. Our story is not uncommon. I know that. I have heard that many couples pledged their allegiance to each other after this attack. We are special because we, and everyone else like us represent what America...the World, should represent, and that's Love, Kindeness, and respect for Human Life.
NMAH Story: Remembered
The People. The people who died, the family members of those who died. The firefighters. The policemen. The millions of people around the world who gave their support, and more then anything, we should always remember that the world outside of the US is different. There will always be some foreign group that beleives it can throttle the heart of our land, and will always try. America has proven itself to be a STRONG, UNBREAKABLE, and a THRIVING entity that will FOREVER stand up for its FAMILY...the USA
NMAH Story: Flag
I am a proud owner of a US flag. The meaning has not changed, only strengthened my beliefs.
