NMAH Story: Story

I first became aware that a tragedy had taken place in my car on the way to work. As I listened the news that a major airliner crashed into the world trade center unfolded. Since I car pool I had to stop and pick up a friend. I ran into their house and said turn on the TV. That is when the second plane hit.
We watched TV for a bit, stunned and then drove into work. I listened and watched the media coverage of these terrible attacks all day.
I was angry, saddened, and feeling helpless. Soon I realized that my reactions affected others around me and I started talking in more positive ways.
I talked about how the President would take appropriate action, and that America as a whole would pull through this. And of course we have.
Today I get a sinking gut feeling even writing this little tidbit…

NMAH Story: Life Changed

Security is in the mind of the individual. Be it against a major attack or safety driving in a car. At any moment your life or someone close can end, does end. Although I want to increase or efforts on finding the individuals who desire to commit such horrible acts I also feel that FREEDOM is the ideal that most needs protection. For Americans to give up their sovereignty, their inalienable rights, would spell the victory for our dreaded enemies and the defeat of the champions of freedom.

NMAH Story: Flag

I flew my flag before September 11th at home. After I flew it on my car and still do. I have deep respect for the symbols of our country and freedom as a whole.
