On the tragic day of September 11th, I was at my first period class at C.O. Wilson Middle School. My coach, Mrs.Crawford, announced what had happened in New York City.

It was shocking to me because I never thought something like this would ever happen in the United States. It never really made me realize how much freedom we had until terrorist tried to take that freedom away from us. Now, I see things in different ways...

Everything. September 11th is history, it should never be forgotten. The firefighters who risked their lives for other people, it amazes me. I can't imagine what those people felt when the planes hit the Twin Towers.

Yes, now my family and I have a flag in our yard. I never really paid much attention to our flag until after I found out about September 11th. I just thought it was there just to be there, but now i know what it all means.
