NMAH Story: Story
On Tuesday, September 11, 2001 I was in school. It was just like any other day. Woke up, ate breakfast, brushed my teeth, you know like every other day. Around 8:30 AM we were in 1st hour, Social Studies when our secretary walked in the room and whispered something to our teacher. Then he turned on the TV explaining what had happened. I didn't know what hit me. I was speechless.
NMAH Story: Life Changed
My life hasn't really changed much since September 11th. Just here and there. I don't take every day for granted like I used to. I realized how lucky I am to have my mom and dad and my brother with me. I thank God for every day that I wake up and I live life to the fullest. Now I know my life can be snatched with each breath I take.
NMAH Story: Remembered
I think the heroes, and the people should be remembered. Everyone who helped in any way is a hero. Our class last year did a school project to donate the money to Afghanistan children who were in need. "Spare Change Can Change the World" was what we called it. I felt so good after we did that.
NMAH Story: Flag
Well, our family sort of flew a flag after September 11th. We hung a little flag from the bottom of the bird house and we flew a American flag windsock from our garage light. Yes, I now respect the American Flag more. It represents Us, the people that didn't give up hope, "One Nation Under God".
