NMAH Story: Remembered

I think that when people remember 9/11 they think of all of the people that died trying to escape from the burning buildings, but when I think of 9/11 that is not the only thing that I think of. I like to think of all of the heros that stayed and helped those who needed it. They did not stay because they were getting paid overtime or because it would look good on a reseme or future job application. They stayed because they were needed. I have no idea what the firemen were thinking when they saw two huge buildings on fire and everybody trying to run out, that made them want to run in. In my mind the only thing that they could of been thinking was there's more people in there and they need my help. Some people say that they died doing their duty, but I disagree, they died because they went above and beyond the call of duty. If they had been in the military many could have recieved the Congressional Medal Of Honor. I think that the people of the USA need to think of all of those people that died as a result of this act of terrorism, when they think of our men and women that are in the Mid East right now fighting for all of us back home, instead of protesting the war and calling our soilders murderers.
