NMAH Story: Story
The way I witnessed September 11th, was in my 3rd period Advanced Internet class, I had just sat down because it was the end of the period, and my friend came in and told me that a plane has crashed into the World Trade Center, honestly at the time I didnt know what the World Trade Center was, just heard of it several times. Anyway, we continued to turn on the TV, and watch as news reporters explained to us that a plane has crashed into the World Trade Center, a short while later we seen the 2nd plane crash into the other side of it, and then we watched as the first building collapsed, at that time our principal wanted to calm us all down and made us turn off all the TV's in thes chool, then all the rumors started, which didnt help at all. It was scary, and still is scary to think of, and remember all those lost on September 11th.
NMAH Story: Life Changed
In most ways, it has, I myself was not directly effected by 9/11 but a lot of the people I know and care about were,it was a depressing few months after it happened, hoping and praying that more survivors would come out alive, but also a few months of anger, not necessarily towards Bin Laden, but terroism in general, this could happen to anyone at any time, and needs to be stopped.
NMAH Story: Remembered
I think the most important thing that should be remembered about September 11th is all the lives that were lost there. Most people think that the most important thing would be how our country has united, thats great, but why does it take 3000 lives to do so, it may be an important factor, but i'd rather remember all the lives that were lost.
NMAH Story: Flag
I myself took a flag out of the newspaper and hung it up. My feelings although have not changed, I realize it means more to the people now, but once again, why does it take something such as horrible as this to make our Patriotism become stronger, its sad really.
