NMAH Story: Story
On September 11th, 2001 I was at home in bed. I had decided to stay home from school that day because I was sick. My mother called me around nine a.m. Her voice was very shrill as she proceeded to say "turn on the tv, our country is under attack!" I will never forget my mother's voice or the horror I felt as I turned on the television.
NMAH Story: Life Changed
My life has changed alot since September 11th, 2001. It makes me feel stronger and I appreciate the concept of freedom alot more. If September 11th was not enough to bare, a week later on September 18th four boys from my school were in a car accident, two of them died. We all were very close. The events of September really put into perspective how much I value my life. Now I go on living each day to the fullest, as well as keeping those that we lost in September of last year in my heart, always.
NMAH Story: Remembered
I think that we should remember all of the innocent people that died on September 11th. We should also remember all of the firefighters, police, and good samaritains that simply risked their lives to help others, they are truly heros in my eyes. We should also remember how beautiful freedom is.
NMAH Story: Flag
Yes, I felw an American flag after the events of September 11th. I actually viewed the flag in a new way. It wasn't just something I pledged to every morning, it was something that signified strenght and freedom. It made me proud to be an American.
