I woke up that morning earlier than usual because of the nuews blaring from the TV in the living room. I remember feeling that it was unreal, like some cheap action movie. After school I had volleyball try-outs and was in a daze the entire time, caught up in trying to comprehend it all.

My life has changed because it has brought out the unity in my family, church, community, and our country. It has made me more aware and weary of our surroundings. Whenever a plane flies low, I am reminded of 9/11.

The firefighters, and everyone else who helped by being purely courageous should be remembered.

I kept a sticker on my locker until Christmas. When I see the flag now, I think of how much our community has united.
