NMAH Story: Story
On the day of September 11th, I was late for my sophmore aeronautics class. I walked into class to see everyone sitting silently and watching the television. I didn't know what was happening until I looked at the tv and saw the first tower being struck. As we watched the events unfold throughout the day, nobody knew what to say. I know some people were crying, some were angry, and some were just shocked. When the news reached our school, teachers were running through the hallways, making sure everyone was turning their televisions on and watching this event that was sure to become a part of American history.
NMAH Story: Life Changed
Yes, I think my life has changed since September 11th. After it happened, the entire country stepped up and there was an incredible sense of patriotism. It caused our country to become more aware and cautious about our defense system.
NMAH Story: Remembered
I think that the most important thing that should be remembered about September 11th is the people who lost their lives. The people who became victims to this tragedy as well as the heroes who gave their lives should be remembered and honored. I also think that it is important that the country remebers this day as a day in history that we learned that we are not invincible and we are not untouchable. Our citizens should have pride in their country and be ready to defend it at any cost.
NMAH Story: Flag
No, I personally did not fly an American flag after September 11th, but my feelings have definitely changed due to the tragedy. I do have stronger feelings of patriotism and pride in my country since I saw how everyone pulled together to support the United States.
