NMAH Story: Story
I woke up and heard the phone ringing, the muffled sound of my moms voice and the click of the TV being turned on. I went into the living room and my mom was watching TV in her PJs. The reality didn't hit me until Social Studies that day at school. During current events that's all we talked about. The rest of the day was kind of shock. I was mad at the terrorists and sad for the people who were in the buildings and their families.
NMAH Story: Life Changed
Yes. My uncle is in the military so he went to Luisiana to fill in for the people in Afganistan. I look at our flag differently now. I think our flag gave many people comfort. It shows that we are more united than ever. I saw a commertial on TLC. It shows a line of houses and says 'On September 11 terrorists planned to change America forever.' Then the same houses flash up covered in flags,'They succeded.'
NMAH Story: Remembered
I think people should remember that no matter how much evil there is that so long as you have friends, family, your life, love, and hope you'll be ok.
NMAH Story: Flag
Of course I flew a flag! The flag I think, before September 11 wasn't something that people thought of much but now it's a strong symbol of respect, unity, and hope.
