NMAH Story: Story

I was in school, first period to be exact. We were discussing the Romans and the Greeks. Suddenly a teacher from down the hall burst into our classroom around 8:50 a.m. yelling , telling us to turn on the news. Mrs. Care, my history teacher, did as he said and turned on channel 8, WGAL. What we saw was hard to fathom. It hit us like an anvil, unexpectantly. What was happening, who could steal our security like this, who had the right? All I could do was sit there and watch, helpless to the many people who were parishing as I sat idol in the classroom. Our teacher tried her best to stay clam and be strong for us, but we could she her eyes weld up with tears. Many thoughts ran through my head, but mostly was the question why?
May we all have peace on day...God Bless America!!

NMAH Story: Life Changed

My life has changed. Right after the terrorist attacks on America, I didn't want to leave my family's side. I had a fear of not being able to say good-bye. I eventually overcame the isolation stage but I still had the anxiety in my heart. I will always have a slight paranoia about planes flying over my head becuse of the images I saw on September 11, 2001.
