NMAH Story: Story
September 11th was a day of distress, a day of suffering, a day of anguish, a day of pain, yet a day of pride, and a day of unity. What happened on this day will always be in the hearts of the American people who lived to witness this extravagent event that changed the lives of Americans and the land of America forever. I will never forget watching that TV screen in my first period class, so far away from everything that was happening right in front of my eyes, yet feeling as if my soul was running along with those people fleeing for their lives in the land of freedom and safety.
NMAH Story: Life Changed
The day before September 11th, I didn't pay much attention to the people around me, we were all just people living our separate lives, practicing our separate religions, taking advantage of our freedom. Isn't that what America is all about? But I whitnessed something on September 11th that taught me a lesson in life I couldn't have learned more clearly any other way, how to work together and unite as one. I saw our country come together and join as one nation, no matter what religion, what race, what culture, we came together and defended our right of freedom, and pride, and showed to the world that we would not tolerate these acts in our country.
NMAH Story: Remembered
NMAH Story: Flag
My family has kept an American flag up outside of our house ever since September 11th. The flag has come to a totally new meaning to me. Everytime I look at a flag, I think about the blood that was shed for our country, the emotion that was roused up from this horrible day, and the courage that was shown from the people across America.
