911DA Story: Story

My mother called to tell me what had happened. I hung up ran to the T.V. room waiting for reports to tell us what happened, then a second plane plungged into the 2nd tower.

I fell to my knees, just cried and realized so many people mother, fathers, children, aunts, uncles, cousins friends and partners...would not come home tonight.

I thought of the people on the plane, how they felt being so scared. The familes of these victims watching this unfold on the air waves.

Watching people run for their lives.

My daughter was so scared, she didn't even want to return to school. I had just returned on my first transatlantic flight 13 days before. I was so grateful to be able to go home that day. I promised myself, I would take life a little easier. Appreciate the little things. I would make sure my kids would remember this when they were older and how lucky we are.

I will never forget....in honor of those who didn't return home that day.
