i was sitting in 3rd period history and my teacher was late so we all were joking on how we were going to leave because he was late. he came in and told us that two planes had crashed into the towers. people kept coming into the room (other teachers) and kept updating him and telling us what was going on. it wasnt fun because we were one of the first classes to hear about it and so i had to tell some of my friends.

my life has not changed one bit. everything is exactly the same except now we have one more national holiday to celebrate. i dont think that many people i know are actually still sad because we think of it as new yorks tragety since no one where i come from lost anyone close to them.

i think its a good idea to make it a national holiday but we cant keep bringing it up and resharing everything that happened. it IS in the past and everyone needs to move on, but dont forget about it.

the flag to me represents pride and safety. every house in the neighborhood had a flag out and we felt closer to each other.
