NMAH Story: Story
On September 11, 2001 I was busy working on a Romeo and Juliet project for my english teacher, Ms. Lamar. It had been quite a few minutes into second period when Ms. McNish called her out into the hall, all of a sudden she ran back in the class picked up her cell phone (trying to get ahold of her husband who had flew out that morning headed to New York City) and at the same time in a panic attempted to connect the tv to the cable cord and turn to channel 3. Everyone in our class wondered what was going on, a guy in the back of the class yelled out to her," Ms. Lamar, ... what are you doing?" she said in a frantic voice "THE WORLD TRADE CENTER HAS BEEN BOMBED" no one in my class really knew what she meant because this is not something near us and we had never been taught what it was, or did (saying that we live in Alabama). As soon as she got the tv on we were whatching in fear this building exploding, and all of a sudden like this couldnt be bad enough another plane came out of no where and slamed into the second tower, wow i will never in my life forget what that looked like.... then as the day progressed we got into 5th period and were informed that the Pentagon had also been hit.
