NMAH Story: Story
I was in my college art class when I first heard of the first plane crash. Thinking the crash was just a complete accident, I didn't worry at all. I did not know what was going on until I walked into the student center after class. The place was crammed with students staring at the TVs mounted on the walls. People were crying and hugging. I will never forget the feeling of panick and sadness that came over me. I spent that evening at home with my family, thankful I had them there with me.
NMAH Story: Life Changed
My life has definitely changed since September 11, 2001. I have always had an appreciation for my country, but it is so much deeper now. Everytime I see an American flag on a car, house, or building, I feel so proud to be apart of this country.
NMAH Story: Remembered
I believe the first thing that should be remembered about September 11th is the way that the people came together as one. Everyone stood by each other, no matter what age or race they were.
NMAH Story: Flag
I immediately put an American flag sticker on my car. Whenever I see our flag, I feel proud of how we have all come together as a whole to cope with this tragedy.
