NMAH Story: Story
I was with coworkers, here in Orlando, Fl, when another co-worker called in and told us that a plane had hit the World Trade Center building. I lived only 5 minutes away and ran home to pick up a spare TV set so that we could all see what was going on. We tuned in about 4 minutes before the first tower came down. We all stood there in shock, watching. Then together we all lowered our heads and said silent prayers, each with tears in our eyes. We are in the computer service business but had no service calls that entire day. We watched the news coverage that entire day and for many days to follow as work permitted. All thru out the day on Sept 11th I was praying. I couldn't wait for the day to end to be at home with my family. I couldn't help but think of those whose loved ones never came home that day.
NMAH Story: Life Changed
It did change my life as I renewed relationships with family members that I hadn't spoken to in over 10 years. It made me appreciate my family more and to realize that in the grand scheme of life the disagreements that we had just weren't important anymore, not important enough to keep us distanced from one another.
NMAH Story: Remembered
That on that day we all witnessed the best and worst that humanity had to offer.
NMAH Story: Flag
Yes I do fly a flag
