NMAH Story: Story
On the day of September 11. I was in 8th grade, and my teacher was talking about terrorist attacks in other Country's. As soon as we starting talking about the different kind of attacks that happened. My science teacher came running through the door, telling us to come to the library. Our whole class went and watched the horrific event on CNN. I was so scared because I knew my About worked in the world trade centers, and my uncle worked in Wall street, and I was very nervous for there safety. Then we were hearing about the pentagon, and it was all so sad. I wanted to go home and make sure my family was, ok. All the teachers were around crying, and we were all not sure of what was happening. We were the first class to find out about it in the school, and all I was worried about were the people that I knew that worked out there and to make sure my family was ok. I got picked up early by my mom to go home. We didn't hear from my about and uncle until later in the day. And everyone in my family got home safe with minor injuries, but they and we have lost many friends in this target attack.
NMAH Story: Life Changed
My life has changed because I see what a perfect world we live in, and that people across the seas witness this everyday. They have to live in horror. I was very upset, and angry that this terrorist did this to us. Then when I saw on the news people celebrating this advent like it was some kind of special event that took place. I think I always became prejudice to people that say that America is no good, or people that are terrorism. I dont think this is right that we are helping out their country, and they turn around and do this. But I also see that we dont live in a perfect world, and we do have to be careful. Not that we have to live in horror all our lives but we do got to watch ourselves. I feel that this should have never happened to America.
NMAH Story: Remembered
What should be remembered about September 11 is that how our country bonded together, and showed our leadership and pride toward America. How all of us helped one another and bonded together to show our loyalty, to the US. To show that no matter how hard someone tries to hurt us we are going to stand tall threw hard times together and be untied.
NMAH Story: Flag
Yes we did. My brother, mother, dad, and whole family flew it from there cars and houses. Yes, it has because I used to take it for granted and now I am more proud and more respectful of it.
