NMAH Story: Story
When asked to recall what had happened that fatefull morning of 9/11, I don't even have to sit and contemplate. The memory clearly comes to my mind. Just like most people, they probably heard the news on television that morning; unfortunately I too, share that same boring story.
I have always been the type to go to bed really late and wake up really early. That morning of eighth grade, I had woken up especially early to get ready. While sitting down in the family room with my hot bowl of oatmeal (which, by the way, is totally "illegal" with my parents to eat in that room), and turned on the news.
What?! It was one of those moments where you can't and don't want to beleive what you were seeing. Like I said, there I was, sitting with my bowl of oatmeal watching horror strike our country. So even though my story isn't the greatest or most exciting, it's this moment that brought our nation closer together. We should not have encountered that day EVER, and becuase we did, we will never forget it.
