911DA Story: Story
I had just come out of my Word Processing class at Central Kentucky Technical College when a girl had said that a plane had crashed into a building. Upon further conversation and television viewing, my thoughts of "oh it is just a pilot that can't fly" turned into "oh my god, those people"
The images that were on the television were horrific and mind boggling. All that I could think was that the world was coming to an end.
There was a lot of talk around the school about the Guard Station in Kentucky with all of the explosives in Nichlosville and what if anything could be done to save those of us close to home.
When the last plane crashed it was hard to know if it was relief that the attacks were over and did not come close to home, or sorrow for those that were directly affected.
I can only hope that as the time passes from that dreadful September day, that our lives can begin to come back to "normal" and that the pain will subside.
