NMAH Story: Story

I turned on the TV to catch up on the news from the night before. Tower One
had already been hit but there was not, at that time, an indication that we were
under attack. I watched and listened in horror to the reports of eyewitnesses;
many who indicated that it was a small plane that had crashed into the North
Tower. Minutes later, in one split second, it became apparent to me that we
were indeed under attack. In that split second the second plane came into view on
the TV screen. I KNEW at that second what those in control of the second plane
had in mind....I KNEW IT and all I could do was watch it happen. WHAT A
FEELING OF TOTAL HOPELESSNESS! I wanted to hit a "Pause" button so that I
could prevent the inevitable. I wanted to do SOMETHING but realized that I
could do NOTHING... And then it happened... Flight 175 careened into the side
of the South Tower. What I din't know until hours later was that my sister's son-
in-law, Brian Sweeney, was on United 175. May God rest his soul and bring
peace and closure to his wonderful wife, Julie. We love you.

NMAH Story: Life Changed

Make today a day that counts in your life, for tomorrow may never come.
Tell those in your life today that you love them for tomorrow may never come.

NMAH Story: Remembered

The innocent victims and those who tried to save them and all of their families
and loved ones.

NMAH Story: Flag

Yes, I flew the flag both before and after September 11, 2001. I see the flag
only as a symbol of my country. The more important thing to me is the values
of the citizens and leaders of my country.
