911DA Story: Story
I remember that on Sept.11,2001 I was scheduled to be at school at 8am to take my pre-entrance exam for Registered Nursing School. I reported at the assigned time and had no clue was was unfolding everywhere as myself along with about 200 other students took the exam. After the first hour and a half they gave us a 10 minute break. As the break was ending the test administrator came in and told us that the Pentagon had just been bombed. The whole room fell silent thinking he was joking. He then restarted our examination. I remember my concentration going from 100% to 0%. It was awful, just sitting there trying to concentrate knowing that these test results would affect the rest of my life, but yet wondering what type of life that may be if the Pentagon had been bombed. After the test, I got in my car and began hearing the news reports. I felt so sad for everyone involved, but so proud of so many at the same time. I am glad to say that as of Sept. 11, 2002, I have finished 9 months of my 18 months for my Registered Nursing Degree, and I will never forget that so many lost their lives on that day or where I was while it all unfolded.
