NMAH Story: Story
I was in my second period science class and and an anoucement came over the PA telling the teachers not to turn on their T.V.'s and if theirs was on to turn it off. We were done with our work and just waiting for the bell so we turned on the telivision and right the exact second we turned it on we saw the second plane hit the trade center. My class was is disbelief, so was I. At first I thought it was tamperd with but when they showed their prediction of how many people were in the building and how many would never leave. We watched until the first tower fell then the bell rang we turned it off and went to our next class.
NMAH Story: Life Changed
Not as much as someone who lost a friend or loved one, but I now have more of a sense of pride in our nation and being an American.
NMAH Story: Remembered
The speed the rescue workers, firemen, police, and parametics came to help. Also, the way these men and women were willing to risk their lives and in many cases did and lost theirs. The way they kept going up the stairs to help when everyone around them was running for their life.
NMAH Story: Flag
Yes, I now see it as more of a symbol of our beliefs and political ideas. Not just our nation's flag.
