NMAH Story: Story
I witnessed history by watching the towers go down on t.v. I got more information about how tragic this was by hearing from my cousin, who works at the World Trade Center, but was running late for work, so she was safe. We have family friends that live in New York, and we talked to them also. I went to a prayer service at my church that day, and I know that God is watching down on all of us and loving us. It is so confusing to me why someone could do something so cruel, even to someone they hate. I will never be able to understand this trajedy fully because no one close to me was physically hurt or killed.
NMAH Story: Life Changed
I think that everyone's lives have changed. There is a higher sense of patriotism in the air, people are friendlier, especially around the anniversary or September 11. You see a lot more flags flying, and you hear a lot more people singing the national anthem at sports games.
NMAH Story: Remembered
I think we should all remember the people that were lost. We should also concentrate on the positive of this event, the coming together of American citizens. People came together within a week of this event, and there is still more people being patriotic.
NMAH Story: Flag
My family put up an American flag on September 11, 2001, and today it is still up. Before I never understood how much the flag means to people, but now I understand. It's the feeling of togetherness in a country, the feeling of love, and the blessing of God.
