911DA Story: Story

It started out just like and other day. In the morning I got ready for school and I rode the bus. I suffered my way through math first period, even thought I had just gotten an A on a test. When class let out, I went to break to talk with friends and do my homework for my next class, computer science. I finished my homework and went to class. We were working on our projects when a teacher from across the hall came into our class to tell us some news.
The news of course was that a plane had crashed into one of the Twin Towers. Our class did not have a television in it, so my teacher went to the class next door to tell her. She had a television in her class so our teacher let us watch the news unfold in her room. Thirty minutes after the second plane hit, our teacher made us go back to our class. I was lucky because I could still see the news through a window in our room. After what felt like a couple of hours, the towers fell. Someone in my class said that his cousin worked in a vending machine on the upper floors of the south tower. That??s when I realized how much of a crisis this was. At first before the towers fell, I thought it was just another accidental plane crash, but when the towers fell, I realized that this was more than just an accident. When the plane hit the pentagon, I started feeling afraid, that an attack would strike even closer to where we were. I was also afraid for my dad who works in the HUD building in DC. If the terrorists attacked other buildings, my dad would be in real danger.
The day after the attack we had a day off. I wanted to have fun and do stuff on my day off but I felt guilty. That??s also the day I learned that my uncles cousin and his wife had died. I didn??t know them at all, and they were blood relatives at all, but being related to someone who died had an affect on me. They died on the plane that hit the pentagon. As I look back on what happened, I wonder how a group of people could hate this country so much that they sacrificed their lives and the lives of thousands of others.
