NMAH Story: Story
Linuss Blanket
Ripped from my arms,
that wrap of secure safety
I grew up with in my grasp.
That tattered but sturdy clothe that
I swaddled my shivering self in.
I search all day for those frayed remnants
of magically impenetrable protection.
I cannot find that sense of sanctuary anywhere,
not in the eyes of the man on the T.V.,
nor in the skies above.
The sky, where I only look for signs and more signs.
Where is Linuss blanket?
I would share half with you,
if I could only discover where it got to today.
