NMAH Story: Story
September 11th was probably the scariest day of my life. I remember thinking that it would start a war, which would cause my loved ones who are in the military to be put in danger. We watched the news in almost all of my classes, and it just made me feel even more scared. All those deaths and injuries were so far away from here, but who's to say that my town wouldn't be attacked next?
NMAH Story: Life Changed
My daily life hasn't changed, but I feel like my freedom is at stake because of the attacks. Nobody knows what will happen from day to day any more, so we've all become prisoners of fear.
NMAH Story: Remembered
Our country's history was changed on September 11th. The tragedy and all it's happenings should be remembered, just as we remember all of the wars that the U.S. has been a part of.
NMAH Story: Flag
My dad bought a flag on September 12th. Before September 11th, we never flew the flag because it didn't mean much of anything to our family. After, though, the flag symbolized everything that America means to us: peace, unity, and freedom. I feel that the flag is a way of showing our pride in our nation that we've always had, but the terrorist attacks strenghthened.
