NMAH Story: Story
I live in Lyons, KS. I did not know what had happened. I was at home all morning long and I still did not turn on the T.V. for some reason. Later in the afternoon, I went to town and everywhere that I went was a radio or a TV going. I thought it was some presidential thing so I didn't pay any attention. Then, at 5:00 p.m., my husband came home from work and told me to turn on the TV because he wanted to watch the news to find out what all was going on and to get more information on what happened. Only then is when I found out what had happened.
NMAH Story: Life Changed
I have always been proud of my country and I have 2 very young daughters. They don't know what is going on but I will teach them to always love and respect their country and the people in it. My life has not changed too much except that I respect the country more and more each and every day and I show our colors to represent those hereos and those lives lost that day!!!
NMAH Story: Remembered
I think that everyone should remember the hereos of that day and all the people that lost their lives and those who lost their loved ones!!! I don't believe that we need to remember the terrible incident that made all this take place.
NMAH Story: Flag
No, I did not fly an American flag because I don't have one but if I did have a flag I would fly it everyday. My feelings have always been the same about the flag even before all this happened. I love my country and I am proud to be an American!!!
