NMAH Story: Story
I was sitting in Scripture class talking about some biblical story, I can't remember which one. I remember our VPSA coming onto the loud speaker and saying two planes had struck the WTC in "an apparent terrorist attack". I didn't think much of it because those are big buildings and I figured that enough people would get out in time. When I heard planes, I assumed small Cessnas, I didn't think terrorists had the capacity to get large airliners. Third period my view changed however, when my friend told me the towers fell down. I didn't know what to think. First I felt mad that so many Americans were losing their lives in such a senseless act of violence. Then I felt worried, as to whether more attacks would happen. I promised myself from that day on that I would be more aware of the gifts the United States have given me and I have tried to ever since.
NMAH Story: Life Changed
Yes. Now I am much more thankful that I have all the freedoms the U.S. gives to me.
NMAH Story: Remembered
The unity we all felt that day.
NMAH Story: Flag
Yes. Now, I see it with much more respect.
