911DA Story: Story

My name is Tom(21), I live in Belgium, I was on vacation in New York to see a Michael Jackson concert.
I stayed in Hotel Pennsylvania on 7th avenue ride across MSG.
I arrived in NY on september 5 and was suppose to go back to belgium on september 11.
It was my first time ever in the US and I liked the city a lot. I went on saturday september 8 to see the statue of liberty and after that I went to the world trade center to see it for the first and sadly enough the last time.
I remember that i was amazed by the size of the buildings, I never saw something so high in my life.
On september 10, I remember when it was evening I had my baggs ready for the next morning, because i was going back to belgium. I felt a sleep around midnight, my flight was at the evening so I could sleep long enough.
In the morning I heard somebody yelling outside my room. I went to see, and she said something about a plane hitting the world trade center, my first thougts where "it's probably some small plane or something"
I put my tv on and saw that what i thought was wrong, only one plane crashed so I figured that it must be an accident but then suddenly another plane crashed in to the building, I didn't realise what was going on, I didn't understand it.
But then i knew it was a terrorists atack, and i was shocked, scared and sad, I went downstairs soon as the second plane crashed and called my mom in Belgium to tell her that I was allright, she was crying and very worried about me, I told her not to worry and that i don't know yet when i got a plane back home.
After the call i just started to cry i never felt so much fear and sadness over me, and the fact it all happend so close to me made me more afraid.
I went back home a week later, i was stuck there for a week without money or clean clothes, thank god for the good americans who helped me out. I never forget them.
