911DA Story: Story
On September 11, 2001 I was in my 8th grade English class. We had a break and I saw all the teachers gathering around in the hall way talking. I wanted to know what they were all talking about so I walked over and listened to them. I heard one of them say, "a plane just flew right into the World Trade Center." I thought she was talking about a dream she had that night or something. Little did I know.
When I watched the T.V. my heart was in my stomach. I felt like I knew every person that was hurt or killed in New York and Washington. Even though I thankfully didn't know anybody that was hurt. I can't imagin the pain that people went through that lost their loved ones.
When I got home from school, my family wasn't talking much, none of us had anything to say, we were still in shock. I remember how weird it felt not seeing or hearing any planes flying in the sky for a few days. I still, to this day, don't understand why anybody would have the mind to kill themselves and hundreds on innocent people.
