911DA Story: Story
During the year of 2001, I was a senior in highschool--still young at heart and mind. The morning of September 11 changed all of that. I sat in 3rd period physics class with my friends and fellow classmates, shocked and confused by the events which were taking place as we watched the television. After the first plane hit the World Trade Center, I thought it was over; we all thought it was a devastating accident. But no. The second plane hit, and then the Pentagon. Then, later on, Pennsylvania. I knew America was under attack, and my care free life as a teenager would take a turn for the worst. However, as horrible and traumatic the events of that day and the weeks to follow, one thing got me through. My faith in the Lord my Savior, and the many testimonies of faith given by survivors of the World Trade Center and the courageous rescue workers, widows, and many others. Although I cried many tears and heard many heartbreaking stories, I believe that God will deliver America from these trials and tribulations. September 11 will always be a tragic memory that has been instilled in me forever. But America will live on.
