Dear Josh,
Thank you for the e-mail. I was worried about you and how things might be in Kosovo. I tried to e-mail you from school to see if you were all right, but the damn school blocked AOL and I couldn't remember your e-mail
address.
This whole happening is surreal. It is hard to believe that any group of people can have so much hate to do this terrible thing to so many innocent people. The only word I can think of to describe them is crazy.
Unfortunately between NY and DC I am almost sure this will affect you in a very personal way.
We are hearing that the death toll will be in the tens of thousands. I have no confidence in Bush's ability to deal with this situation. It's frightening to have a dim bulb in the main socket in such an emergency. I hope he has good advisors and is scared enough to listen to them
instead of relying on his own IQ.
When you have time, e-mail us what is going on from your perspective. I am particularly interested to know what went on at the State Department. I hope all your coworkers are safe.
