911DA Story: Story
I was in the car and heard that a plane had hit the Tower of the World Trade Center. As everyone, I thought it was a small plane. I turned on the TV at work and the second plane hit. It was such a shocked, frozen moment when the reality, that it couldnt be an accident, registered.
I wasn't near New York, I never have been there and knew that I wouldnt be able to go and help, but in that time, we all seemed to become a part of New York and New York became America. I live 600 miles away. But I have never felt such a profound sadness, depression and disbelief. I was glued to the TV and still couldnt comprehend it.
For a moment in time we got a glimpse of the human spirit, honor and kindnes in people and that makes me a better person and live every day in the spirit of the people of New York
