I am in the Air Force. I was at work in the hospital on Sheppard AFB, TX. September 11, 2001. We have a T.V. in the dining hall where I worked, and we always keep it on CNN. We couldn't believe what was happening when someone first yelled that a plane had hit one of the twin towers. We sat there for the majority of the day in disbelief as disaster after disaster kept happening. We went on alert that afternoon. I have since transferred to Lackland AFB, TX. We still have hightened security to this day, one year later.
