Victim compensation for gay and lesbian partners
If, as I have heard, the gay and lesbian partners of the heroes and
victims of the 9/11 tragedy are not compensated on the basis that they
are homosexual, there will be a terrible compounding of the hate and
terror that 9/11 represents. Anyone who does not fight for, indeed
demand, the right to grant these benefits to gay and lesbian partners
suffering the loss of their loved ones, is acting out their own form of
hatred and discrimination. Do we believe in freedom or don't we?
