9/11

Kenneth L. Zwick:

I am saddened that the tragedy of 9/11 has not reached the hearts and souls
of those offering assistance. How can you discriminate against the partners
of the gay and lesbian victims? How in good conscience can you stand by and
judge loving relationships?

Would it not be the same as evaluating every heterosexual relationship and
base your decision of whether or not to give assistance depending on the
quality of the relationship. Judge that every heterosexual relationship that
was heterosexual and married but separated could not have assistance because
their relationship was already on it's way out?

What gives you the right to judge anyone's love for another? Are you basing
it on a piece of paper? Where is your compassion? Gay and lesbian people died
September 11th, they are worthy of any and all assistance.

It's time you took responsibility for your actions. One day you and your
administration will die just like those of the 9/11 tragedy, no one escapes
God's law. When you and those involved with the policy for your program have
to answer for your convictions, what will you say? I judged that it was wrong
so I didn't give the partners assistance or I wanted to give assistance to
the partners but there was establishment issues in the way and I kept my
mouth shut.
