Dear Attorney General Ashcroft:



As you are aware, on September 22 President Bush signed into law H.R. 2926, the Air Transportation Safety and Systems Stabilization Act (Public Law 107-42). Contained in this act is a provision entitled," the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund of 2001," which creates a government-sponsored fund for victims who choose not to sue the airlines.


Our desire is to make sure that no person, no matter how small, is left out when the victims are recognized. Regarding Topic #5 on Claimant Eligibility, we respectfully request that you consider as "eligible victims" the unborn children who perished along with their pregnant mothers as a result of the September 11 attacks.


We thank you for your service during these difficult times, and we uphold you in our prayers.
