Please don't discriminate in division of proceeds

To whom it may concern:

I just learned that the partners of those men and women who died during the
September 11th terrorist attacks may be denied compensation based on those
victim's sexual preference. That is a ridiculous basis for chosing who
should be entitled to benefits. Please reconsider your position. Even
critics of gays and lesbians would be hard pressed to defend a position of
discrimination in these circumstances.
