Fund Dispersements
Mr. Zwick,
I am outraged that gay and lesbian partners of those who died on September 11 are not automatically going to receive the same benefits from the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund as heterosexual spouses. Why your organization would choose to discriminate and suggest that the loss of a gay or lesbian partner is any less painful and devastating than that of a heterosexual is beyond comprehension.
I wonder, have solicitors for the Fund been honest and made this position clear to all donors?
Please reconsider this decision. Now, more than ever we should be a united country. And that means everyone.
