LC Story: Story

I was in my office in Washington Square in New York City, just a mile from downtown. Going into my office building, I heard the roar of a jet. When I got upstairs a colleague told me that her husband had called, telling her that a plane had crashed in to the World Trade Center. We turned on a TV in a conference room.

LC Story: Memory

Just about to enter my office building on Washington Square Park in Greenwich Village (just a mile from downtown New York) at around 9 am, I heard the roar of a jet overhead. "Funny," I thought to myself. "That's a sound I haven't heard in a long time." I hadn't heard it since I lived in Israel in fact, where low-flying military jets are an every day occurrence.
