To Whom it may Concern:

We are writing this letter to express our concern and our opposition to the
decision by the Dept. of Justice to deny gay and lesbian victims their
rightful compensation in the aftermath of the September 11 terrorist attacks.
Beacon Fellowship is an Interfaith social justice organization based in
Columbus Ohio. Our mission is to work to create change and promote social
justice in communities thru Advocacy, Education, and Direct Action.

We believe in fairness and equality for all citizens of this country. That
must include gay and lesbian citizens, who pay their taxes, and are just as
much a part of this nation as any others. Hate and bigotry have no place in
our country or our communities.

We encourage the DOJ and Kenneth Zwick to reconsider the decision and allow
all victims of the horrible attack on our country to receive full and fair
compensation for their losses. To offer anything less or nothing at all,
would be truly un-American and would clearly violate the spirit of the
U.S.Constitution as well as the Declaration of Independence, which closes
with the words "Liberty and Justice for All".

ALL means ALL, plain and simple. Don't allow bigotry and hate to dictate
policy.

Thank You
