this fund's discrimination


Dear Madam/Sir

I am very distressed to hear that partners of gay and lesbian victims of
the September 11 attacks will be excluded from the benefits of your
fund. What an incredible dishonor to our citizens who have lost their
lives in a mass attack meant to victimize all Americans. You do an
enormous disservice to the spirit of unity that was engendered in this
country in the aftermath of September 11. The arrogance of such a
policy, making special exception for illegal aliens and blatantly
discriminating against our own citizens, is simply abhorent. I urge you
to make your fund inclusive of all our citizens. If you can circumvent
law to include illegal aliens, you can do it to include all Americans.
