Sept 11 fund
Dear DOJ:
In distributing the Sept 11 fund, Kenneth Feinberg said that if states don't
allow for domestic partners of gay and lesbian people to collect survivor
benefits, he will adhere to that and not give any or the relief money to gay
and lesbian partners of people who died on Sept 11.
This is patently unfair, biased, prejudicial and totally a mockery or United
we stand. It is inhumane to deny benefits solely on lifestyle preference and
seems to be against the law. Gay and lesbian people died heroes on that day
and as such their survivors are just as entitled to benefits as anyone else.
