gay partners
I have 'heard' that the gay partners of the victims of 9/11 will not be receiving compensation, as will the other family members of the victims. I feel that this is an absolute injustice. The gay partners are as much a victim as any others. Any discrimination against them is, indeed, discrimination. This country has come to far, and show too much solidarity since 9/11 for there to be such a cruel and unwarranted act. Please, if the rumors are true, change this policy. It is shameful for our country to harm those who are in the greatest need.
