Republic of Korea. Training U.S. Army Air Defense soldiers of the 2nd Infantry Division on use of Forward Area Air Defense-Command, Control, and Intelligence (FAAD/C2I). I was in my hotel getting ready to leave for work. The first thing I do every morning is turn on the news - in this case CNN International.

Initial thought was that there had been a terrible accident. Continued watching showed the sequence of impacts on the WTC, the Pentagon, and Pennsylvania. Then I realized - this is no accident. Initial impression was shock and anger - this is worse than Pearl Harbor.

A wake-up that there are people with extreme hate of the United States of America willing to do extreme acts against the USA. We are no longer safe between two oceans.
