911DA Story: Story

I don't think anyone will ever forget where they were or what they were doing on that morning.....I, for one, certainly will not. For me it was very much a life-changing experience. I was awakened around 8am by a phone call from a friend saying that all hell had broken loose in New York--and to turn on the tv. After that, it was almost a surreal experience; like witnessing an execution. It was like that. For the rest of the day I wept. For the lives lost; for the families torn apart; for the jobs lost; and most of all for the innocence we all lost that awful day. And I remember the fear.....where would it end? Who was behind it? What's next? We all lost something that day. To some of us the loss is not nearly as profound as to others; but we all lost something. All of America now grieves and heals together. May God grant us His grace and peace so the healing will continue....and may we teach our children to avoid the hatred that brought forth bitter fruit that day.
