911DA Story: Story

On Sept.11 I was in school. It was kind of weird because my teacher was talking about how we cant take life for granted because we might lose it one day. So her speech that day kind of fitted the situation. So there was my teacher talking when all of a sudden my math teacher came running in my room and she told somethind to my teacher. After my other teacher left our teacher said a plane just crashed into the World Trade Center. At that moment I was suprised that something like that could happen. Then like 5 or 10 min. later my principal said over the PA for all the teachers to lock the rooms and for everybody to get in their classrooms. He said we were on "legal lockdown". Then he said that they would call our parents right away. My class didnt know what was going on. I was like the 6th person that they called. For every student that was leaving they had a teacher personally take them down. I was like "whoa, whats going on"?! when i saw my mom. She said there was a bomb on the twin towers. At that time my mom thought it was a bomb but then i told her it was a plane. When she told me that i was like" yeah i know but whats the big deal"? because at the time i still thought it was an accident. After my parents picked me and my sister up we went to the supermarket. I guess that the 2nd plane crashed into the other tower when we were in the supermarket because when i got home all i saw on tv was replays of the 2nd plane hitting the towers. At the time i didnt like really care i dont know why. I was like forget about it and i started to watch BET. But then when i saw when the towers collapsed it caught my attention. Then i got scared because i thought how about if they target small ordinary buildings like mine? But then I learned about the attack and why they did it and i understood it more. Even now thats its almost the 1 year anniversary I will never forget Sept.11,2001.
